Sylvia Sierra- $23 per lesson

Sylvia started playing guitar when she was 13 years old. Self-taught at first, she later took lessons which led to her first job teaching guitar at the age of 15. Sylvia specializes in teaching Spanish-speakers how to play the guitar. She has been studying Spanish for 10 years, spent a year in Mexico teaching English, and is currently a Spanish teacher at Fred Lynn Middle School. She graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a BA in Linguistics and Spanish and is currently finishing her Masters in Education there. Sylvia plays classical, acoustic, and electric guitar and enjoys finger-picking and playing rock, folk, and indie music.
