BANG! Music Lesson Program Information

All lessons are given in 30 minute* private sessions with a highly trained Professional. The instructors customize each program to the needs of the student. Standard music instruction with an emphasis on note reading and theory are built into each program.

From time to time the individual instructors will assemble students for group recitals.

All lessons are booked in Monthly blocks.

BANG! Music instructors accept students from entry level to advanced.

Schedule changes and Make-up lessons are left to the discretion of the individual instructors.

BANG! Music employees cannot schedule any make-up lessons.

A one time registration fee of $20 will be charged at the time of registration. Returning students and other family members beginning lessons will not be charged this fee

Megan Bevill	Violin, Viola	Megan graduated from UMW with her BA in Music. She currently serves as concertmaster of the UMW-Community Symphony Orchestra; Director, Rappahannock Youth Symphony; and plays in the L'Esprit String Quartet. Hans Branham	Guitar, Bass	Hans has over 30 years experience teaching private lessons and guitar clinics at local music stores, schools and community college. He began his career in the 1970s playing in clubs. He specializes in reading music, rock, R&B and many other styles.	$24 Per Lesson		Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Dominic Crofoot	Guitar	Teaches sight reading, theory, and improvisation. Genres include rock, jazz blues, and classical. Welcomes advanced students with interests in experimental techniques including tapping and using effects to embellish sound.	$22 Per Lesson		Saturday
Lou Durham	Piano, Accordian, Theory/Comp	Lou has been teaching since 1973 and has worked as a professional musician in many venues. He has been a member of the U.S Army Band since 1987 and currently performs as primary pianist. He also performs at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in D.C. and acts as a producer for live entertainment.	$27 Per Lesson		Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Rebecca Evans Case	Piano	Rebbecca has been teaching piano for 2 years, and her students range from 3 years old to mid 40s. She specializes in beginning students, especially children. Rebbecca has accompanied school concerts and has played in numerous churches. Dr.Evans enjoys classical and Broadway music.	$24 Per Lesson		Friday, Saturday
Anne Glencer	Clarinet & Saxophone, Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, French Horn and Piano	Anne has a BS in Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and is a former High School and Middle School Music Teacher, and is an experienced private music instructor. She recently relocated to this area with her family and is hoping to continue her pursuit of her Master's Degree in Music as soon as possible. She can provide beginning to master level instruction in Clarinet and up to the intermediate level in Saxophone. She can teach other beginning band instruments as well as piano.	$25 Per Lesson		Wednesday
Ashley Jacoby	Cello	Ashley is currently a Senior at the University of Mary Washington and will graduate in the Spring of 2010 with a BS in Psychology and a BA in English. She is an accomplished Cellist and currently performs in the UMW Community Symphony. Jonathon Kustin	Drums & Percussion	Jonathon is percussionist, song writer/composer and recording artist who is a member of the Professional Drum Teachers Guild. He attended Stony Brook University on a Lampert Scholarship for Academic Excellence and has extensive experience as a private instructor. As a child Jonathon was selected into the New York Pops program to receive private instruction himself from a member of the New York Philharmonic and performed at Carnegie Hall at the age or 14. Jonathon has recently relocated to this area with his family and is excited to share his approach to drum and percussion instruction. Jonathon provides a "multi-angled" approach to drum instruction which not only covers the drum set but how it relates to all other aspects of music. T. Alan Lucia	Drums, Percussion	Beginning at age 7, T. Alan Lucia has been playing the drums for more than 40 years. He has been a Percussion teacher for over 27 years. Doug Manring	Guitar, Bass, Drums Mandolin, Sound Reinforcement, Theory	Doug specializes in practical musical education for children. Founder of the Real School of Rock. Extensive experience as a preschool teacher in Japan and the U.S. His musical education for children and composition make him a unique teacher. Nathan Masters	Woodwinds	Nathan is completing a BA degree in Music Performance at University of Mary Washington. He is an experienced private music instructor since 2006. John Nelson	Wind Intruments	BA in Music ED from Trenton State College, NJ. Taught junior high school instrumental music for 13 years in NJ. Juan Somarriba	Guitar	Juan graduated from Radford with his BA in music, and has been playing guitar for over 14 years. He currently plays with his metal band Modulus. Juan´s specialty is metal, but he also teaches classical, rock and heavy metal. Elya Miller	Piano, Violin, Viola	Elya has a Music Degree from the Saratov Conservatory of Russia, with 9 years of University level training.
